Community Insights: Interview with Andrew Mein, User of the Month

Based on his activity and participation in the Boost.space User Community, we reached out to one of our most enthusiastic and helpful users, Business Automation Specialist Andrew Mein to get to know him a little bit better. Learn about his opinions and hopes for the future of Boost.space in this short interview.

Tell us a little about yourself and only use movie / TV series titles.

I’m a “Highlander” (1986) and a “Family Man” (2000) who loves “The Great Outdoors” (1988). In The Pursuit of Happyness”(2006), I love “Mountaineering in Scotland” (2016) and i would like to become a “Master of  Photography” (2016). I enjoy “Walking the dog” (2017); a cockapoo calle Bonnie and love to go on a good “Cycling trip” (2020). In my business I love to “Help!” (1965) other business owners get more “Free Time” (2019) by embracing “Technology” (2020) and in particular “Automation” (2019). To see the “Joy in people” (2018) when I tell them they can “Do more of what makes you happy” (2018).

Why did you decide to use Boost.space?

I was intrigued by the idea of having one central repository for business data and linking that to all the other cloud based systems that I or my clients use. Make (formery Integromat) is the foundation of my business and to see that Boost.space had integrated the Make plaftorm was really exciting.

What was the first thing you did after creating an account?

The first thing I did after creating my account was to explore the database modules to see how they could benefit me or my clients. Although I haven’t used them, I am particularly interested to see how the boost.analytics modules could be used to help visualize the data.

What would you like to see in the future?

In the future I’d like to see an API for the calendar module which I think would really help make that more accessible and functional. In terms of modules for the integrator, there are so many possibilities, but I can’t wait to see what modules get produced to leverage the power of AI, which is really taking off just now.

Last but not least – give us your favourite automation you’ve created.

My favourite automation is one I created for a client which takes transactions  from Quickbooks and populates some custom sheets in Smartsheets which are then used to provide reports to project stakeholders.
